Qualities of a Professional Logger

Elizabeth Forest Products has been working with PA landowners for over 15 years. Eric himself started working in the logging industry with his father at a very young age.

Additionally, our company handles the entire logging process; we do not use subcontractors. We ensure the quality goals are met by completing each job to the absolute best and maintaining our small business values.

Starting Small:

Eric knew early on that logging was something he would be happy doing long term.

Where it Began:

Getting to Know the Company

When Eric's father decided it was time for him to "retire" from the logging business, we decided to buy his saws and skidder and start Elizabeth Forest Products LLC. We eventually hope that we can pass on our love for the forest and hard work to our children.

Our Mission is Simple:

Our mission is to provide service to small landowners that often get overlooked by the big companies. Along with doing an excellent job harvesting timber by doing what the landowner wants, and making sure they get fair money for their timber.

This chosen profession is potentially dangerous and physically demanding, usually entailing long hours in difficult to navigate areas. All of this requires mechanical equipment and other personnel costs. A professional logger makes sure they are up to date with technology and safety in order to maintain safety and efficiency. This also includes understanding and correctly implementing the variety of regulations that are designed to protect natural resources.

Getting Involved:

Pictured above is Eric and his daughter Hallie. Hallie is the Social Media and Marketing Outreach Coordinator, but she also steps out into the woods to gain experience.
